
Find a good place for the container that is out of the sun.Ī shady spot in your yard or garage can be a great place to put your worm container. This allows for proper drainage and airflow. Take the drill and drill holes around four inches apart on the bottom of the plastic container and the lid.

This makes them the preferred species to raise and fish with. These worms will grow to around 6 inches in length and are more resistant to heat and cold than other types as well. Nightcrawlers are one of the most popular types of worms that are used for fishing and are among the easiest to raise.

A plastic bin or cooler works great, just make sure it has a lid. There are multiple access points between the Highway US-2 bridge and Lake Superior. If and when you are not going out with a guide, we will break off into smaller groups and hike to some of the deep holes along the river.

We have a total of 6 guided spots open for 1/2 day sessions. Mending the line, proper reading of the water, setting the hook, fighting and landing these fish will all be covered in our Friday night seminar. The special Steelhead float allows the bait to float down the river at a natural pace.

Bait used can be flies, spawn, wax worms, beads or plastics. One common method of fishing is float fishing. We have been fishing this area for a number of years. This historical scenic river is a top Steelhead destination. We are hoping for better weather and hungrier fish. We changed the date for this annual trip and pushed it back a little later.
